Follow in the footsteps of the Hairy Bikers on your own Mississippi adventure

17th August 2012 Print

One of the UK’s small group North American tours operators, Grand American Adventures, is offering guests the opportunity to follow in the famous footsteps of the Hairy Bikers in Mississippi.

The Grand American Adventures 12 day tour will include key highlights from the forthcoming Good Food Channel series as travellers trace the roots of American music along the mighty Mississippi. The Hairy Bikers’ Mississippi Adventure is due to air on Sundays at 9pm from 19th August on the Good Food Channel (Sky channel 247 and Virgin TV channel 260).

Each episode of the Hairy Bikers’ Mississippi Adventure will be themed by a different Southern American music genre – Jazz, Blues, Cajun, Country, Soul and Rock and Roll –accompanied by the locations and food stories that help to define them. Covering 3,000 miles on their Harleys, Dave and Si explore the cities of Nashville, Memphis, Lafayette and New Orleans – all included in the Deep South and Delta Blues tour.

Savour authentic cuisine and enjoy southern hospitality as we float down the Mississippi on an included river boat cruise.
