Golfers offered chance to beat winter blues at La Manga Club

The 2012 Ryder Cup will see the climax of the golfing season next month but lovers of the game have no need to put their clubs away for the winter thanks to the latest range of semi-inclusive packages unveiled by Spain's La Manga Club.

Boasting three 18-hole championship courses, the five-star resort is regarded as one of the top sports and leisure destinations in Europe and guests can take full advantage of its facilities - with a four-night stay including three rounds of golf on offer from just €411 per person.

Available for three months from November 1 including Christmas and New Year, the discount break features golf on any of La Manga Club's acclaimed lay-outs - the South, North and West -accommodation and breakfast in the venue's four-star Las Lomas Village apartments, while a similar length stay in La Manga Club's five-star hotel costs €507 per person.

In addition, the package also offers guests half-price golf buggy hire, a two-course dinner each night at any of La Manga Club's restaurants, unlimited drinks in the evening and complimentary use of Spa La Manga Club's fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms.

Golfers seeking a longer stay can enjoy a seven-night break including five rounds of golf from only €713 per person, with all prices including VAT and based on two people sharing a room, while groups of eight or more will receive one free place.

And if guests fancy taking a break from the course for a day, they can exchange their session for another activity including a tennis lesson with one of the complex's team of expert coaches, a spa treatment or relaxing, leisurely lunch.

Set in an area three times the size of Monaco, La Manga Club is renowned for its first-class range of golfing facilities and has played host to some of the leading names in the sport over the years.

American legend Arnold Palmer was victorious at the resort in the Spanish Open during his prime, Seve Ballesteros made his European Tour debut there before becoming its touring pro and current world number two Luke Donald cut his golfing teeth at the venue at the tender age of nine on his way to stardom.

As well as the new winter packages, there is still time to take advantage of La Manga Club's popular Best Golf and More breaks which are available until the end of the year.

Golfers can enjoy accommodation in the resort's fabulous Principe Felipe Hotel and a daily round of golf on any of its courses from only €87 per person per night.

The fantastic price also includes breakfast and access to the venue's fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms, while people seeking more home comforts can stay in La Manga Club's fully serviced four-star apartments and enjoy the same privileges from only €89 per person per night.
