Barts grows green fingers

20th August 2012 Print

Chelsea speakeasy bar Barts are proud to unveil their new home-made, home-grown herbalicious cocktail range. With the introduction of an entire menu of herb infused beverages, the conscientious cocktail drinker can now sip away soundly in the knowledge that they are enjoying an organic twist to their tipple.

All of the drinks on the 'Totally Herbaceous, Dude!' menu, will be not only hand shaken but also contain herbs that have been home-grown in Barts own garden. Barts bed of herbs will include, Basil, Thyme, and Sage and will be tended to and plucked fresh as a daisy, daily, by the Barts botanical barmen.

The drinks served at Barts will have quirky herb-themed names such as The Basil Fawlty, Wild Thymes and Sage Against The Machine.

The Basil Fawlty cocktail is a straight up, slap stick mix of Iceberg vodka, pineapple, lemon, gomme and of course fresh, home-grown, basil leaves all served in a fragile, but hopefully Manuel proof...eek...martini glass.

Barts is a quirky 'speak easy' style bar on prestigious Sloane Avenue in the heart of Chelsea. It is the brainchild of Duncan Stirling and Charlie Gilkes, the dynamic duo who also own the highly successful 80's themed nightclub, Maggie's and an Englishman's Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke, Bunga Bunga in Battersea.

So for cocktails that are pick of the crop, head down to Barts!
