Cashback consumers pocket over £54k as energy dash starts

In order to protect household energy bills, Quidco encourages consumers to review tariffs and cashback options ahead of this year's cold weather.

Managing Director, Andy Oldham comments: "Last week we saw an announcement from SSE detailing a nine per cent price increase, followed by speculation around the removal of some popular and competitive tariffs from the market place. Further news from energy providers detailing pricing strategies is expected, signalling the start of the search for the best energy deals this winter."

"Homeowners worried about the increases should check out the cashback deals available via Quidco. Since SSE's announcement, our energy and money saving members have pocketed over £54,000 worth of commission from the likes of nPower, Scottish Power and First Utility, who all offer cashback on their energy products."

"For many the notion of shopping around for the best deal is now second nature that needs to extend into the cashback sector for further savings. With up to £100 available on certain tariffs, every consumer that shops via Quidco can mitigate the impact of rising wholesale energy costs, by getting money back in cashback."

Great offers that could help warm the UK's homes include:

nPower - £100 cashback for a Go Save tariff dual switcher - offered exclusively to Quidco members

uSwitch - 5% cashback for energy saving products and up to £21 cashback on dual gas and electricity switchers

Scottish Power - up to £42 cashback available for successful Dual Fuel sale

First Utility - £40 cashback for successful approval of a new customer to the iSave Fixed December 2013 Dual Fuel tariff
