If you dream of living by the sea in a stunning home that oozes style, Millwood Designer Homes’ new development, Combe Ridge – an individual collection of just three five-bed detached homes in Eastbourne – is your dream come true.

An exciting open day is being held on 22nd September between 11am and 4:30pm to launch the stunning show home, Selwyn House, giving you the first opportunity to see the spacious layout, contemporary interior, luxurious specification and high-quality build for which the award-winning housebuilder has become renowned.

Combe Ridge is in a fantastic location in one of the most prestigious parts of Eastbourne, about one-and-a-half miles from the town centre. It sits next to the newly-designated South Downs National Park, with two of the homes having direct access while all three enjoy distant panoramic views.

Ready to move into, the show home has been styled by Andrew Henry Interiors, an innovative design company and one of the leading show home designers in the country.

Managing Director Andrew Henry says, “This is not the first show home that we have styled for Millwood and it is always an honour to work with them. The company produces a quality product with a high specification, so it is our job to find an interior design that complements this.”

He continues, “The focus at Combe Ridge was to enhance the high-quality finish and low maintenance of the homes. The style is classical yet contemporary, with elegant pieces of furniture to complement the soft muted tones. We used shades of duck egg and eau de nil not only to keep the home light and airy, but also because it is a popular colour palette, one that is not too dramatic. The result is a modern, stylish home that appeals to a wide market.”

Selwyn House is an impressive two-storey property surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens. Steps lead up to the front door which opens onto the spacious entrance hall. A magnificent kitchen/breakfast room with bifold doors onto the garden forms the heart of the home and is fitted with bespoke cabinets and high-end appliances. The stunning living room has a feature fireplace, bay window to the front and French doors to the garden. The generous dining room will seat dinner guests in style, and there is also a study, utility room and cloakroom.

On the first floor, the master bedroom has fitted wardrobes and an en suite, as does the second bedroom, and there are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Sales Director Philip Brown is excited about the launch, saying, “While Selwyn House is perfect for families, it would also be ideal for couples who dream of retiring to the coast but still want room for family and friends to stay.

“Combe Ridge offers a truly wonderful lifestyle of relaxed living by the sea. Families will make the most of the beach and harbour, as well as Eastbourne’s bustling town centre, good London commute and great selection of schools. At the other end of the scale, those looking to retire to the coast will appreciate the town’s relaxed atmosphere and peaceful countryside, whilst still having everything they need to hand.

“We anticipate a high level of interest for the three homes so I would urge potential buyers to make sure to attend the launch to avoid disappointment.”

With a beautiful sandy beach, traditional promenade and pier and the largest marina in Northern Europe, the classic Victorian seaside town of Eastbourne has grown in popularity over the years. It is full of history and atmosphere, with a thriving entertainment scene including gourmet restaurants, wine bars and traditional pubs, shops, theatres and, nearby, a number of golf clubs.

For commuters, there are direct train services from Eastbourne to London Victoria in approximately one-and-a-half hours, and to Gatwick Airport in an hour. For families, there are some excellent schools in the area, including the highly rated Ratton School and the independent Eastbourne College.
