New show home at Locking Parklands

St. Modwen Homes has unveiled a stunning new show home at its Locking Parklands development on the former RAF Locking site, near Weston-super-Mare.
Located on Farnborough Road, the four bedroom show home is a ‘Beech’ three storey townhouse. Designed to the highest specification, the new-build house benefits from large floor to ceiling windows, two living areas – one of which is an open plan living, kitchen and dining area – three double bedrooms and one single bedroom, and three bathrooms.
With a colour scheme of cream, slate grey and olive green, the new show home boasts the latest trends in interior design and has been designed to appeal to families in the local area.
Amanda Stanhope, owner of Ignite Interiors said: “The colours I chose for the new show home at Locking Parklands are very much on trend for this autumn and help to give an elegant and sophisticated feel to the townhouse. The overall look is very light and airy but extremely homely, unlike a typical show home that you’ll see on many new-build estates.
“To help the property really feel like a home, I have used mixed fabrics with solid oak furniture, which creates warm and cosy rooms, particularly in the bedroom and living areas. The bedrooms are particularly luxurious with lots of contrasting throwovers and various scatter cushions.
“Adding some character to the show home, the curtains in the living room have a strong clock print fabric and the house is accessorized with various French style quirky pieces from boxes to boudoir signs. There’s even some very unusual black telephone lamps in the guest bedroom!”
With the majority of houses and apartments now occupied in the first phase, The Parkside, at Locking Parklands, homes are now being sold in The Woodlands, with more than 25 per cent of properties already purchased off plan.
Jackie Ireland, sales manager at Locking Parklands said: “The new show home looks stunning and really helps to highlight the benefits of three storey living. Many people don’t consider a three storey townhouse when looking for a new home, but actually this type of property can offer people a bit of extra space, giving family members a separate living room, play room or study area.
“We have already seen a high number of sales in our new phase, The Woodlands, and now that we have a brand new show home for people to come and explore, I’m sure demand will continue to be strong for these new homes.”
The Woodlands phase at Locking Parklands is currently under construction and when complete, will boast seven new house designs with three, four and five bedroom houses all available to purchase. The first properties are due to be delivered in September, with prices ranging from £229,500 for a semi-detached three bedroom Maple house to £350,000 for a Birch five bedroom detached property, of which just two are being built and one is already reserved.
