Pet Friendly Cottages Cornwall

Cornwall provides the ultimate holiday destination for the whole family, including man’s best friend.

There is plenty to do; the vast majority of its glorious beaches are accessible to dogs, there are miles of coastal paths to explore and many pubs and restaurants are dog friendly.

At Cornwalls Cottages, over half of its 237 properties welcome dogs, and its easy search tool allows visitors a convenient way to access the best cottages by region and availability.

A small additional charge for dogs is usually applied for dog friendly properties, but this selection of cottages accept dogs for free:

Hellangove (sleeps 4) is a 200-year-old cottage that has been renovated to provide a comfortable and relaxed “home from home”. Look forward to a cream tea and bottle of wine on arrival, as well as an extensive welcome pack for dogs including biscuits, balls, bowls, bags and bottles. Up to two large dogs are welcome (please enquire if more). Bodmin Moor offers spectacular walking and the coast isn’t far. A week’s stay from Saturday 29 September to 06 October 2012 is £269.10 (was £299).

Even pets can enjoy the beauty of St Mawes by staying in Corner Cottage (sleeps 5). This cosy cottage is positioned within a minute’s walk of the harbour and benefits from a spacious triple aspect living room with polished wood floors, open fireplace and glimpses across the bay. Test the dog’s sea legs on a trip on the little Place ferry (until 4 November) to the dramatic St Anthony Headland with its coastal walks and sandy beaches or the St Mawes ferry to Falmouth. Well-behaved dogs welcome. A week’s stay from Friday 05 October to 12 October 2012 is £499.

Overlooking the whole of Widemouth Bay, Aalsmeer is a spacious detached bungalow with three bedrooms, large kitchen with aga and sitting room. On a clear day, the magical sunsets can be viewed from the sitting room and master bedroom and the walled patio is a great place to enjoy a quiet drink. Dogs and owners alike will enjoy a brisk walk on the spectacular sandy beach, which is within easy walking distance, as well as cycle and walking routes around Bude. Up to two dogs are welcome. A week’s stay from Saturday 06 to 13 October 2012 is £379.

April Cottage (sleeps 5) is a pretty three-bedroom terrace cottage in St Just in Roseland with bags of character, complete with bright yellow window frames and door! Water, walks and wonderful beaches are a short drive away and a trip to the incredibly pretty church and churchyard at St Just cannot be missed. Up to two dogs are welcome at April Cottage. A week’s stay from Sunday 30 September to 07 October is £305.10 (was £339).

Pendowr House (sleeps 10) is the only detached house in its own grounds in Watergate Bay available for holiday rental. It has large rooms, a southwest facing lounge with wood burning stove and additional conservatory. Storage is also available for surfboards. Outside, there is a wonderful 1.25 acre garden full of rare and unusual plants and flowers as well as two streams. Watergate Bay with its golden sands and range of water sports is only a short walk away. Up to 3 dogs are welcome. A week’s stay from Sunday 07 – 14 October is £899.
