House builder welcomes planning approval

A South Midlands house builder has welcomed the decision by Wychavon District Council’s planning committee, to grant permission for a new development off Crown Lane, Wychbold.

Charles Church South Midlands, plans to build 61 homes on the seven acre site in Wychbold, providing much-needed places to live for local people and families.

The house builder is pleased with the planning committee’s decision at Thursday’s meeting (15 Sep) as Richard Oldroyd, managing director at Charles Church South Midlands,. explained.

He said: “Obtaining planning consent for the Crown Lane development is a major landmark for both Charles Church and the local area. The approval of the plans will benefit the local community with much needed housing and jobs.

“The site development will provide a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes, suitable as first-time buyer starter homes through to larger properties for growing families.

“With support available, through various schemes and initiatives, Charles Church is able to offer potential purchasers the right house to meet their budget.”

Properties at Crown Lane are expected to go on sale early next year.
