Local housebuilder Morris only has two properties left at its popular development in Atherton so househunters in the area should move quickly if they want to secure one.

The properties available at Gadbury Fold, off Atherleigh Way in Atherton, are a three-bedroom Borrowdale-style townhouse and a one-bedroom Thorpe-style bridge mews home.

The Thorpe is available from just £99,750 and features a spacious open-plan lounge and kitchen as well as a large double bedroom and bathroom.

The Borrowdale is priced at £164,750 and is a contemporary three-storey townhouse with three bathrooms which has been designed to offer flexible and stylish family living.

To help first time buyers in the area Morris is also offering the government-led FirstBuy scheme at the development. It enables first-time buyers to purchase their home at 80 per cent of its market value, so they benefit from lower monthly payments as well as a reduced deposit of five per cent.

Chris Minshall, regional sales director for Morris, said: “Gadbury Fold has been a very successful development and we’re not expecting these last two properties to be around for long.

“Both have been built to the highest quality and are perfect for those looking to get on the property ladder.

“New statistics show that raising a deposit remains the foremost concern for 33 per cent of first time buyers so we are offering the FirstBuy scheme to give young housebuyers in Atherton a head start.”

Gadbury Fold is located on the edge of the peaceful Lancashire countryside with both Lilford Park and Pennington Park close by. Atherton town centre is within easy reach and there are excellent transport links to both Manchester and Liverpool.
