E.ON simplifies energy for its customers

E.ON, one of Britain's big six energy suppliers, has announced a range of measures, including a streamlined tariff structure, to make energy simpler for its customers.

Tom Lyon, energy expert at uSwitch.com, says: "E.ON's plan to simplify tariffs is great news for consumers at a time when trust in the energy market is at an all time low. Consumers have been battling with unnecessarily complicated bills and tariffs for too long and this is an important step to making energy simpler, clearer and easier for them to understand.

"E.ON's move follows similar steps taken by other suppliers. However, as well as increasing transparency E.ON is the only supplier to have frozen its prices until the end of the year. These kinds of move demonstrate a willingness to listen to customers and to start giving them the service that they need and deserve."
