Forge Motorsport Turbo Recirculating Valve for Focus Mk2 RS and ST

Gloucestershire based metal-magician Forge Motorsport has released yet another stunningly engineered upgrade for Ford’s 5-cylinder Focus RS and ST models. The latest design to come from the tireless CNC machines of this respected firm is a piston-action recirculation valve that is a direct replacement for the original part.
By virtue of being a piston design, the Forge unit gives greater longevity than the diaphragm OEM valves but also benefits from its ability to be fitted with different springs when the boost pressure has been increased or the engine has been modified. To ease installation the vacuum hose connection has also been angled to allow greater access.
The Forge valve solves an inherent design issue with the Ford part, which is basically a diaphragm with spring type design. This part has been known to fail in as little as 15,000 miles – either from the abuse of higher boost pressure or simply from heat and fatigue. Once this has happened, boosted air can leak back into the turbo inlet, causing boost- and therefore - power loss. Forge’s microscopic production tolerances and insistence on using only the highest quality materials means that this will not be a factor with this unit.
Priced at just £131.64 including VAT and precision-machined here in the UK, the Forge Recirculating Valve not only helps to future-proof the Focus’ power-plant but it also adds a dash of under-bonnet glamour, being presented in a smart polished aluminium finish.
