Computer wizards spellbound by Micra

Micra - Geeks on Wheels Computer gremlins in Brighton and London beware! ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’, the mobile computer experts, has just taken delivery of its eighth Nissan Micra. With plans for nationwide expansion, the company’s fleet of Micras could eventually swell to 150.

The Micra has been a part of the ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’ success from day one in 2004, transporting mobile engineers all over Sussex to the homes and businesses of technologically frustrated locals. With the service proving a huge success, a nationwide rollout of ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’ is planned over the next 18 months, beginning with the recent opening of a new office in London supporting the inner M25 area.

In a close working relationship with Crawley Down Nissan, the stunning orange and black 1.2-litre ‘E’ spec Micra will enter a fleet of cars already familiar to technophobes grateful for the fast and friendly computer advice offered by the ‘Geeks’.

The Micra was originally chosen over competitors for its low emissions, reduced running costs and ability to display the attention grabbing livery of the ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’ brand. With such strong imagery, the cars have acquired something of a cult status in and around the local community, with children and tourists posing for photos whenever the wheels are stationary.

Jamie Shaw, the founder of ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’ said: "We pride ourselves on solving our customers’ computer problems with minimum fuss and expense. To achieve that goal our mobile engineers need a cost effective car we can rely on, with the Micras we’ve got just that."

Paul Westwood, an area fleet manager at Nissan, added: "We are very much a forward thinking company who believe technology works best when it simplifies our daily lives. For that reason, Nissan takes great pride in being associated with the straightforward and hassle free service offered by the guys at ‘Geeks-on-Wheels’."
