Italian designer Ilaria Innocenti has launched a new collection of striking contemporary wool rugs where the modern freehand mark meets antique weaving techniques.

Re-discover the pleasure of your naked feet on a buttery soft, luxurious wool rug.

The natural rug collection designed by Ilaria Innocenti not only looks great in a modern as well as a traditional environment. Ilaria Innocenti handmade rugs are contemporary pieces of art which bring back old weaving techniques.

The freehand mark of the designer is interpreted by the delicate and wise manual ability of the craftsman, able to translate the artistic hand into a contemporary design product.

Ilaria Innocenti wool rugs are handmade from local wool in Sardinia, in the well renowned tapestry town of Villamassargia. The antique weaving technique pibiones consists in twisting the yarn around a needle which is arranged in a horizontal position on the handloom; the needle is then pulled away, thereby creating a raised effect, a sort of knot or grain for extra warmth and softness.

Custom made wool and cotton rugs available on request.

The full collection of rugs by Ilaria Innocenti is available at online concept store E-Side - e-side.co.uk - which offers a Home Service (See Before You Buy) for West London, Bucks, Berks & Surrey.
