Nissan Navara wins again

Nissan Navara wins again The multi-award winning Nissan Navara has done it again. Beating off stiff competition from Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Mazda and Toyota the Navara has been crowned “Lifestyle Pick-Up of the Year 2007” by 4x4 magazine.

Since its launch date of last August the Navara has continued to sell beyond expectations. “We just can’t build them quick enough,” said David Jackson, Nissan’s brand manager for Navara. “The whole of September’s supply has already sold out.”

The judges at 4x4 magazine commented: “Nissan got it right with this mean and moody-looking powerhouse of a truck. It helps that the ‘truck’ manages to blast more gravel-scattering power out of its compact 2.5-litre engine than even its Rodeo rival. The Nissan’s engine is not only powerful, but economical – a high-efficiency design that should return 33mpg. The engine power translates into exciting road behaviour; the Navara responding tautly to the steering, and revving strongly to put the racy six-speed manual gearbox to good use. The engine’s punchy torque keeps the car cruising easily at motorway speeds with hardly 2000rpm showing. Inside, the Pathfinder-emulating features give the Navara a modern, youthful appeal”.

On the road prices for Navara start at £17,588.60.
