Eight homes have already been snapped up off plan at Boulters Meadow, a newly launched development by Shanly Homes, close to Maidenhead town centre.

The first phase of 46 homes will be complete in spring 2013 and will comprise a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached houses, at prices starting from just £199,950.

Shanly Homes sales director Nigel Sawers says: “We’ve been delighted by the fantastic response to the launch of Boulters Meadow. With our wide range of homes there really is something for everyone. Our early purchasers include first time buyers, a family upsizing, a couple downsizing and an investor! We’ve recently opened two show homes and I’d urge people to come and see for themselves why Boulters Meadow is proving so popular.”

Boulters Meadow is in a very attractive setting, with tree-lined avenues and plenty of open spaces for all residents to enjoy. Blending soft coloured brick and white render with decorative bargeboard detailing, these appealing homes combine the best of traditional and modern architecture. Interiors are of an exacting specification with meticulous attention to detail, and there is a great choice of different house styles and layouts.

The development’s location near to the centre of Maidenhead is a huge advantage. Maidenhead has plenty to offer; sitting on the bank of the River Thames and surrounded by spectacular countryside, the town has an excellent range of shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

From Boulters Meadow, Maidenhead station is less than a mile away and provides fast and frequent services to London Paddington in less than 30 minutes. Road links are equally convenient; the nearby A4 leads to the centre of Reading and there are quick links to the M4. London Heathrow Airport is just 13 miles away.

The new Crossrail, due to open in 2018, will make travel to London even easier by extending the service into the City and East London with a journey time of under an hour. William Desalis Johnston of selling agents Roger Platt says: “As soon as it was announced that Crossrail is coming to Maidenhead, interest in property in the town rose sharply. Canny buyers who want the convenience of fast links to London without the hefty price tag attached to homes in the capital are already moving into the area.”

He adds: “Investors are well catered for too; the rental market in Maidenhead is very active and demand outstrips supply. There are a number of high profile company headquarters in Maidenhead and with the regeneration of the town centre and introduction of Crossrail it’s going to be a very exciting place to invest in over the next few years.”

Prices at Boulters Meadow start from £199,950 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £249,950 for a two-bedroom apartment. Three-bedroom houses are priced from £375,000 and four-bedroom houses from £540,000. Just one four-bedroom house remains for sale in the current phase.

Shanly Homes has recently opened two superb showhomes, a two-bedroom apartment and four-bedroom house.
