Vintage fund company sponsors classic car festival

This year's three-day event attracted a record crowd of 110,000 and saw over 250 classic cars take part in competitive races. Participants included motoring legends from past and present including Sir Stirling Moss1, Sir Jack Brabham, Damon Hill and David Coulthard. All of the cars dated from the pre-war years -1966, the glory days when Goodwood Motor Circuit was Britain's leading racing venue. During this remarkable period Goodwood hosted contemporary racing of all kinds, including Formula One, the famous Goodwood Nine Hours race and the celebrated Tourist Trophy sports car race.
Commenting on the event Alain Grisay, who will become F&C's chief executive of at the end of 2005, said: "F&C is delighted to continue our association with the Goodwood Revival Festival. This is a wonderful event which celebrates both motoring heritage and the enduring spirit of competition.
“Like many of the classic cars that participated in the event, F&C has an impeccable pedigree and we too are passionate about performance."
