Sustainable stocking fillers

‘Outrageously ethical’ brand Fair Squared believes that anything and everything can be fair trade, and their eco-friendly hand creams are no exception.

The hand creams’ two main ingredients have been carefully picked from sustainable suppliers around the globe and Fair Squared are proud to be the first beauty brand to use Fair Trade Palestinian Olive Oil. Olive oil has become an important trade staple for Palestinian farmers, three quarters of whom live in poverty, and it is therefore important that brands such as Fair Squared support them. Fair Squared hope that by introducing the oil to a beauty range they will encourage others brands to follow suit and open up a new sales outlet for the oil; ensuring the farmers are not just reliant on the food market.

The Fair Trade honey used in the hand creams is sourced from beekeepers in Guatemala, one of the poorest countries in Latin America, and by using it in beauty products Fair Squared again hope to help producers expand their market beyond traditional food supply.

Of course being fair trade and helping those less fortunate than ourselves is great, but the products still have to perform…so it’s a good job they do!

Once the ingredients have been imported they are brought together in the UK to create two gorgeous, delicately scented, blends, ‘almond’ and ‘natural’. Light, non-greasy and easily absorbed, the hand creams utilise the amazing hydrating and protective properties of the olive oil and honey to leave your hands feeling soft, supple and hydrated. Suitable for everyday use, the creams come in fully recyclable packaging and are Vegetarian Society approved.
