Calibre Friction Blue - The future has landed

Calibre Friction Blue

Friction, the latest wheel design from Calibre’s sublime 2013 collection balances classic good looks with motorsport design cues and fine paint detailing.

The new wheels offers a sideways look at the tired multi-spoke genre and shakes things up with hot blue candy highlights on each spoke edge, contrasting sharply with the mile-deep black paintwork. The highlights use paint technology only usually reserved for the biggest-ticket US showcars, so really ‘pop’ under show or flash lighting, or when the car is out in the sun.

The bolt face is deeply recessed into the heart of the wheel, giving it a purposeful appearance, while the arched profile of the spokes offers superb brake clearance, underlying its role as a high-performance essential.

Available in both 7 x17” and 8 x18” fitments in both 4 and 5 stud PCDs, the Friction is a 2 stage heat-treated wheel making it more than able to withstand a little urban abuse on what passes for roads here in the UK. All key PCDs are covered including most Euro, VAG, Jap and Tuner cars.

Colour wise, It’s all about classic gloss black, with the precisely applied blue highlight. A red variant is also available for those looking for a different look. Prices start at around £97.50 + VAT for the 17” 4 x 100 fitment.
