New homes are snapped up at popular development in Slough

30th November 2012 Print

Persimmon Homes Thames Valley opened the marketing suite at Laurel Place, Slough, ahead of the show home, due to the high level of interest from local buyers. The first three homes were reserved immediately with the help of the Government backed FirstBuy scheme.

The development is located in the desirable area of Wexham Court, just two miles from the centre of Slough and within easy reach of Wexham Park Hospital and a good range of schools.

Persimmon Homes Thames Valley’s Sales Director, Elaine Stratford said: “The development offers 23 quality homes, with prices for 3 bedroom properties starting at £279,950. It is perfectly placed to take advantage of excellent commuter connections, with journey times into London taking approximately 31 minutes by rail and the location offering easy access to the M40 and M25 networks.

“We are encouraging people to visit the marketing suite and purchase a property ahead of our show home opening in January, due to the increasing popularity of the development.

“We are currently offering a number of incentives which meet the needs of a wide range of customers; FirstBuy for those just starting out, NewBuy for those buyers who have saved a 5% deposit, and of course part exchange for customers with a current property to sell.”

For those making their first step onto the property ladder, FirstBuy means customers can purchase their own property by putting down a five per cent deposit, and raising a mortgage for 75 per cent of the property’s value. The remaining 20 per cent is secured by an equity loan from Persimmon and the Government. There is no interest to pay on the equity loan for the first five years.

Alternatively, purchasers can secure their new home with as little as five per cent deposit at Laurel Place when using the much sought after 95% NewBuy mortgage scheme, which has the backing of a range of lenders and the Government.

Those who need to sell their current home will appreciate the ease of the Persimmon Part Exchange scheme, which allows purchasers to move quickly and easily, without the worry and headache of finding a buyer. As an added bonus Persimmon will pay the estate agent’s fees and allow extra time for customers to move out of their home into their new property.
