Owners of Porsche’s ballistic 997 Turbo now have the option of a superbly engineered, race-quality air filter upgrade, thanks to induction experts Pipercross. The new filter draws heavily on Pipercross’ BTCC and competition experience and has been designed as a direct replacement for the original part.

Featuring a domed design to maximise surface area, the Pipercross filter also improved on the original design by using a lightweight, laser-cut aluminium frame and supporting mesh structure. In addition to the vastly improved filtration area, carefully selected multi-layered foam within the unit offers 30% more air-flow than even the most efficient of OEM filters.

As well as providing a far better rate of flow, the ingenious multi-layer design also filters down to a far finer rate, protecting the engine against damage. The kits come complete with a can of cleaning spray to keep the filters in tip-top condition and thanks to a lifetime warranty, it makes huge financial sense. Best of all, each kit is lovingly hand-crafted in Pipercross’ UK factory. Aesthetics have been thought out with the Pipercross branding appearing neatly within each inlet aperture for a real visual improvement over the original.

The Pipercross 997 filter provides a very subtle improvement in induction noise combined with a genuine airflow improvement, making it an essential enhancement for anyone running a 997 Turbo.
