How to smoke without being a social pariah
Ever since the smoking ban, people have looked down on committed smokers with disdain. Smoking is seen as an anti-social, unhealthy activity and smokers have been pushed into segregated corners as it’s no longer allowed in public places.
However, for some smokers, giving up is just not a realistic possibility. It’s unsurprising, then, that so many tobacco smokers are now converting to smoking e-lites instead.
If you’ve not hear of electronic cigarettes, allow me to explain. People who smoke e-lites get a similar kind of nicotine hit as they do with tobacco cigarettes, but with none of the harmful toxins such as carbon monoxide, tar, or other harmful chemicals.
Electric cigarettes can also be much cheaper than traditional cigarettes as you only need to buy refill cartridges of nicotine once you’ve bought the product. Technologically advanced batteries mean that you can get between 300 and 400 vapes per charge.
How they work
Liquid nicotine is pulled into the atomising chamber of the e-cigarette as you inhale on the cartridge. The nicotine is heated and turns into a vapour, which you inhale into your body. Smoking an e-cigarette mimics exactly the action of smoking a traditional cigarette, which is one reason so many smokers have switched to e-cigarettes. Unlike other smoking alternatives like nicotine patches, e-cigarettes allow you to enjoy the same habits you’ve been used to with traditional cigarettes. All that’s missing is the bad stuff – the smell of smoke on your clothes, the harmful second-hand smoke that can be bad for the health of your friends and family as well as yourself and the yellow staining caused by tobacco.
Many public places allow the smoking of e-cigarettes so it’s much more socially acceptable than smoking traditional cigarettes.
Less expensive, less social outrage, but just the same benefits as smoking traditional cigarettes, it’s no wonder that e-cigarettes are growing in popularity!
