Respected exhaust manufacturer Milltek always pulls out the stops for its annual Autosport outing, but this year, the Derbyshire-based firm has been burning the midnight oil to bring no less than three all-new systems to display at the UK’s premier motorsport show amongst many of its other recent designs.

The first creation to come from its factory in Ilkeston caters for Citroens’ popular DS3 DSport. This car shares its impressive 1.6 turbo lump with the latest Mini and is very responsive to well-thought out breathing modifications. Milltek has created options for both cat-back and turbo-back set-ups, with resonated and non-resonated variants to allow owners to create the exact power gain and acoustic improvement they desire. The cat-back resonated version has also been designed from the outset to be fully ECE approved. All options are based around a gasflow-optimised 2.5 inch / 63.5mm non-magnetic stainless steel construction.

The non-resonated version is also rather special in that it features a unique single rear silencer developed specifically for the car. All silencers feature attractive twin GT-80 trims.

With versions for the DS3 Racing and Diesel models to follow early in 2013, and with prices starting from a very reasonable £162.00 + VAT for the downpipe and £593.15 for the cat-back non-res system, expect to see many of the best-dressed DS3s sporting Milltek on both road and track this year.

As one of the world’s leading authorities on extracting the best from VW Group cars, it will come as little surprise to discover Milltek’s latest design for the mighty Audi RS4 B8. The most recent incarnation of this incredibly versatile machine uses a powerful 4.2 V8 lump - making it the perfect recipient for Milltek’s unique brand of extraction magic.

Options will be released in phases throughout 2013 with a single cat-back option being the first one offered to customers. Using Milltek’s innovative ‘ValveSonic’ technology, this system features active valves that work with the existing factory vacuum lines to give the car a superb soundtrack and bristling performance.

This system is based around an optimised 2.37 inch / 60.3mm non-magnetic stainless steel construction and has been designed to integrate seamlessly with the OEM exhaust trims that are built into the bumper. Prices start from £1678.52 + VAT.

VW’s T5 range of commercial platforms has become a veritable part of the automotive landscape with motorhome conversions, Surf-buses, Caravelles and Mini-Van all proving, that like the four generations before it, VW’s ‘box on wheels’ traverses class and genre. With many enthusiasts now tuning these capable vehicles to heady heights, the latest Milltek exhaust system will come as a welcome addition to the aftermarket.

The range will begin with a solution for the 2.0 Bi-Turbo Diesel 180PS, with options for a Cat/DPF Back or full system including a bespoke DPF bypass assembly. The latter DPF bypass option will require specialist ECU remapping for full operation, however. Tailpipe options with be an homogenous pair of twin oval trims with the system being based around a 70mm diameter non-magnetic stainless steel construction. Prices will be confirmed towards the end of January.
