Boost for buyers in Worcester

With the chance to save thousands off the initial price of a brand new home in Worcester, would-be home owners are being urged to make 2013 the year they step onto the property ladder.
FirstBuy is now available on new homes at Redrow’s Earl’s Park development. The Government-backed incentive offers first time buyers the chance to reduce the cost of setting up home with the help of an equity loan for up to 20% of the price
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “We’re delighted that funding under the FirstBuy scheme is now available at Earl’s Park as it offers a lifeline to those who are stepping on the property ladder by significantly reducing the cost of the home they’re buying. It’s great news for those who had perhaps made it their New Year’s resolution to stop renting and buy a home of their own as it should make the transition to homeownership more affordable.”
With an equity loan for 20% of the cost, eligible customers may only need a deposit of 4% of the purchase price and a mortgage for the remaining 76% to secure a brand new home.
Prices at Earl’s Park start from £149,995 for a two-bedroom Evesham.
With FirstBuy an Evesham style home could be secured with a deposit of £6,000 and a mortgage for £119,996. The equity loan covers the remaining £25,999.
“It may seem complicated, but in simple terms FirstBuy could help aspiring home owners make that all-important first step onto the housing ladder as it significantly reduces the cost of the home they’re buying,” Pauline adds.
“Provided their total annual income is less than £60,000 they should be eligible for the valuable help and if they come along to Earl’s Park they can find out all about it from our friendly, experienced sales team.”
Earl’s Park features a good choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s sought after New Heritage Collection.
For those who want a larger property, nearby Kings Park offers an exclusive choice of premium quality four and five-bedroom homes with prices from £374,995.
The new homes at Earl’s Park and Kings Park enjoy a leafy setting as some 20 acres of woodland forms part of the development.
Just a short journey away from the centre of Worcester and with easy access to the M5 and M42, they offer the ideal base for commuters.
Show homes at Earl’s Park and Kings Park are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
