House hunters wanting to live next to the water in Bristol are being advised to check out the latest availability at Crest Nicholson’s Harbourside development.

Its proximity to the bustling city centre, the waterside location and the high-end spec of the properties available are just some of the reasons why the development has already proved so popular with people wanting to live in the city.

So for those looking for a New Year’s move will also be interested to hear that on selected plots Crest Nicholson has available the added incentive of the FirstBuy shared equity scheme!

It means those wanting the convenience of city-centre living while being next to Bristol’s historic floating harbour will be able to buy their first property by purchasing the property at just 80% of the price making their home ownership dream a reality.

Funding is provided in part by the Government and Crest Nicholson via a loan with a minimum contribution required from the purchaser of just 5%. It means that prospective home owners will be able to make their first step towards home ownership whilst enjoying the many benefits associated with new build homes.

A fantastic example of the type of property available through the FirstBuy scheme is one of the two-bedroom apartments (plot 4006) available on the current phase which is called Invicta.

With its own entrance, this ground floor property looks out onto the landscaped Millennium Promenade which forms part of the famous Brunel Mile.

The open plan arrangement of the kitchen and living / dining area is ideal for those looking for flexible living, with space used to maximum effect. A good example of this is the inclusion of a separate utility store which houses items such as a washing machine.

The main bedroom is en suite and also has a built in wardrobe which again makes the most of the space. The main bathroom serves the second bedroom with both bedrooms benefiting from doors which lead out onto the rear patio.

The plot also comes with allocated parking and the addition of the lobby provides added security.

Susan Young sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said: “Invicta is a fantastic phase in that it offers a wide variety of property styles that are on the waterfront and right in the city-centre.

“The addition of the FirstBuy scheme makes the development even more attractive for prospective buyers wanting the best that Bristol has to offer.

“Invicta has only been available for a couple of months and the reaction so far has been extremely positive. It meant we’ve had to open the sales office an extra two days a week and we can’t wait to show people the plans now that this new incentive is available.”

Located on Cathedral Walk just off Anchor Road, Invicta is spread over five floors with a variety of different styles and property sizes.

Once complete it will include an important pedestrian link called Millennium Promenade. Running from the Millennium Square to the Harbour Inlet it will complete the famous Brunel Mile and incorporate a rich ecological landscape with views across to the ss Great Britain.

The new marketing suite is open every day from 10am to 5pm. Prices at Invicta start from £165,000.
