Eibach complete chassis solutions for Ford Focus Mk1

As the technical partners to both the M-Sport Focus Mk1 and Mk2 WRC cars during the height of Ford’s rallying activity, it comes as little surprise to learn that suspension guru Eibach has an extensive range of chassis enhancements for the popular and capable hatch.
In addition to springs and spacers, the range has also recently been extended to include new alignment upgrades for the Mk1 model, allowing owners and tuners to hone the geometry of their suspension far outside of factory parameters. Ideally suited for competition and track work, these parts are also incredibly useful at returning lowered vehicles back to a useable geometry setting. Often, cars with drastically reduced ride height will acquire significant camber and caster changes which will hugely accelerate tyre wear.
The front top mounts are a great example. Offering an addition +/- 1 °of both camber and caster adjustment, this robust part can be used to improve front end response under cornering, or indeed, to return a lowered car to its factory alignment settings. Priced at £101.92 + VAT, it’s a worthy addition to any cherished Focus.
The rear arms offers an incredible amount of adjustment, ranging from 1.5° of negative camber up to 5° of positive! As the ideal way of giving the Focus’ famed chassis even greater ability, this is a useful tool in the tuner’s arsenal for £165.03 + VAT.
Rear camber can also be adjusted with the simple – and cost effective – addition of the lobed camber bolts. Bolting is as direct replacements for the factory items, these allow very precise adjustment in situ, making fine-tuning of the car whilst bolted to an alignment rig a real doddle. Priced at £19.07 + VAT, these parts are a chassis essential and offer a useful +/- 1° of adjustment.
To complete the picture, the legendary Pro-Kit spring package offers a tangible improvement in handling and stance thanks to its uprated coils. As an example fitment, a kit for the ST170 lowers the car 25mm/20mm front rear and costs £117.50 + VAT. These pre-stressed springs reduce body-roll, improve dive and squat characteristics and hugely enhance vehicle control and driver feedback.
The final finishing touch, both aesthetically and dynamically, comes in the form of the Pro-Spacer range. These hub-centric spacers offer a track increase of between 5 and 30mm per side and start at £43.34 + VAT per pair. Whether you’re looking to really fill the arches, improve turn-in (or both!), these are an ideal enhancement.
