The go ahead has been given for leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to begin work on a stunning collection of brand new properties in Warwick.

Taylor Wimpey has received the green light to build a development of high-quality new properties for sale in Warwick.

The leading housebuilder will construct 76 properties on the southern fringes of the town after Warwick District Council approved its plans for a new phase of its successful Warwick Chase development of new homes for sale in Warwick.

The new homes will go some way to satisfying the demand for family-size properties to buy in Warwick, while helping Warwick District Council towards its Government-set target of building 11,000 new homes by 2026.

Forty per cent of the 76 new homes in Warwick – around 30 properties – are likely to be affordable homes, allowing more local people to remain local, rather than being forced to look out of the area for a place to live.

Roger Northam, Managing Director of Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “The runaway success of our Warwick Chase development convinced us of the growing need for family-size new homes to buy in Warwick.

“We are delighted to have been given the green light for this new phase of properties – many of which will be four-bedroom detached houses – and it’s pleasing to know that our plans will also go some way to helping those who qualify for affordable housing to find a home they can be proud of.”

The site, located off Academy Drive, already had outline planning permission for residential development before it was purchased by Taylor Wimpey in September 2012.

Taylor Wimpey expects to begin work on the new homes development and release the first properties for sale in April 2013.

There’s a limited selection of family-size homes still on sale in the current phase at Warwick Chase, including three-bedroom homes from as little as £199,995, four-bedroom designs from just £294,995 and five-bedroom plots from £419,995. One and two-bedroom apartments are also ready to reserve now, from £119,995 and £139,995, respectively.

The popular NewBuy scheme is also on offer at the development, giving first-time buyers and those with a property to sell the chance to secure Taylor Wimpey homes priced under £500,000 with a 95% mortgage.

To register an interest in the up-coming phase of properties at Warwick Chase, property-seekers should visit the Sales Centre, located off the A429 Stratford Road, Warwick, CV34 6RA, and open daily from 11am to 5pm, or log onto taylorwimpey.co.uk/midlands.
