Proton continues the upward trend

9th November 2006 Print
Proton has continued its upward trend in registrations in October by again beating last year’s sales. October new car registrations in the total market are up just 0.9%, only the second month this year to show an increase over 2005. In contrast, Proton’s new car sales during the month increased by just under 50% compared to October last year and Proton has also posted an increase in new car sales in every month throughout 2006.

Simon Park, General Sales and Marketing Manager at Proton said: “The company’s continued sales growth is very encouraging and confirms Proton’s improving position in the market. Such progress is made possible by the efforts and support of our ever-increasing network of dealers and growing interest in new models such as the recently launched 5-door city car Savvy. Next year, we expect to make a similar positive impact on sales following the launch of the 3-door Satria supermini.”

Proton is looking forward to a bright future with car sales rising by just over 57%† year on year and a new model due out in the UK early 2007.

Current offers on new Protons include 3 years’ 0% finance on the GEN-2 with an alternative of taking a free leather interior; all Savvy’s have 12 months’ 0% finance or customers can choose to drive away leaving just a £1 deposit, plus Proton’s light pick-up, the Jumbuck is currently available with a free lockable hard top, free delivery, free load liner and free Clarion stereo, together worth over £1,350.
