Housing plans given the go ahead in Mabe

15th March 2013 Print

Taylor Wimpey Exeter has been given the go-ahead for a select development of 90 homes on Treliever Road in Mabe.

The new five acre development will include a range of two, three and four bedroom properties suitable for both first time buyers and growing families. Homes will not be released for sale until the summer, but already Taylor Wimpey has received a high level of interest from prospective purchasers.

David Matthews, land and planning director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “We are delighted with the unanimous decision to approve our planning application for the new homes in Mabe. As a responsible home builder we are committed to the area as a whole. Therefore in addition to the private new homes, we will offer a selection of affordable new properties and will contribute towards local education facilities, areas of public open space and assist with improvements to the local road network.”

Janine Copleston, regional sales and marketing director for the company added: “St Aubyn Place will be an attractive development in a great location close to the village centre. Although there will only be 90 private properties, we have still designed a scheme with a good choice of homes to suit a wide range of local people. Not surprisingly, we’ve already had a lot of enquiries about the homes and would urge people to register their interest as soon as possible so we can let them know as soon as the properties go on sale.”
