Rihanna and Cheryl Cole top poll of celebrities women want to party with

27th March 2013 Print

Photogenic Geordie lass, Cheryl Cole and Bajan beauty Rihanna, are not just a paparazzi’s dream. In a dead heat, both have also topped the list of celebrities we’d love to party with.

According to the research, released to celebrate the stylish Panasonic Lumix XS1, many of us wish we could dance the night away with our favourite female singers. Joining the ever camera-ready Cheryl and Rhi Rhi in the top five were Bootylicious Beyonce, outlandish fashion queen Lady Gaga, and the super stylish Saturdays. Narrowly missing out on a top five spot were the lovely Little Mix ladies and Sha-mazing Nicole Scherzinger.

While we’d love to go out with frequently photographed celebs, they aren’t the only ones who prioritise their appearance for pictures. Almost half of 18-24 year women surveyed confess that their special efforts for a night out aren’t for snagging a member of the opposite sex, but to look their best in photos. As more and more snaps appear on social media, there’s an added pressure to look our best. It’s no surprise then that one in five of us know our best angle and a third of women even carry a full make-up bag to ensure they look picture perfect at all times.

Claire Eaton-Whitfield, spokesman for Panasonic Lumix XS1, who commissioned the study, commented: “We’d all love to party with Cheryl and Rihanna, and get photographic evidence of our night out. Low lighting in bars and clubs mean mobile pictures often end up blurry and there’s nothing worse than being tagged in a bad photo! Compact cameras are now smaller, more stylish and even easier to use, so getting the girls at their best doesn’t mean you have to compromise on your fashion sense or handbag essentials. ”

The Panasonic Lumix XS1 camera comes in five colours - red, purple, white, black and silver - to match any fashion lover’s style. It weighs a tiny 103g, less than a couple of chocolate bars, and is the same width as a Smartphone at only 14mm wide, so you won’t need to ditch the lippy to add it to your clutch bag.
