Alliance Trust Savings adds 100 funds to its Investment Platform

11th April 2013 Print

Alliance Trust Savings (ATS) has announced the addition of nearly 100 new funds to its investment platform.

The new funds, from established fund groups Marlborough, Fundsmith, Cornelian and SWIP, are now available to ATS investors as clean priced share class funds at a typical rate of 0.75%.

This continued expansion of the ATS platform means it now offers over 1,500 clean share class funds, from over 40 fund managers. The majority of the funds have no initial charge and offer some of the most competitive Annual Management Charges (AMCs) on the market.

Alliance Trust Savings was one of the first platforms to introduce clean share class funds to advised and direct customers from 31 December 2012, which fits well with its transparent platform and product pricing philosophy.

Elaine Maddison, Director, Platform Proposition at Alliance Trust Savings, says: "The addition of the funds from these four well-known investment houses on to our platform is the latest in a number of announcements we will make about expanding our investment range over the coming weeks and months, as we look to offer our clients increased choice coupled with lower charges."

"Our decision to move to clean share classes at the earliest opportunity has proved to be a smart one with HMRC announcing plans to tax rebates as additional income from the 6th April.

"We have championed transparency for a long time and believe that offering a wide range of clean funds alongside our unique flat fee approach to charging is the most transparent, simplest and fairest option for all investors."

"We have over 40 fund managers on the platform now and are in active discussion with a further 40 fund managers to add to the already extensive range of investment choice that includes Investment Trusts, ETFs and ETCs."
