Want to downsize but have a property to sell? Aspen have the key

Homeowners in Worcester could enjoy a stress free move to somewhere smaller and more manageable with part exchange – even if the property they’re selling is worth more than the one they’re buying.

Aspen Retirement has introduced part exchange so that customers can downsize without the hassle of selling what was once the family home. Homeowners won’t have to worry about securing a buyer or getting caught up in a slow moving chain.

To explain how the scheme works, Aspen is inviting buyers to a special part exchange event from 11am to 2pm on Friday, May 3. Visitors will be able to speak to friendly sales consultants who will guide them through part exchange and arrange free valuations with absolutely no obligation.

Liz Herring, sales and marketing manager for Aspen, explains: “Our aim is to make things easier for the older generation both before and after they move to Eastbank Court. While people will be familiar with part exchange, they will be more accustomed to using it to trade up to something bigger and more expensive. What we’re offering is something quite different in that we’re enabling people to part exchange as a means to help them downsize in later years.

“In simple terms we will buy the customer’s home so that they can buy an apartment at Eastbank Court and then when we sell on their old home we’ll pay them the difference. It’s ideal for those who want or even need to find somewhere smaller and more manageable but perhaps can’t face the stress and anxiety of having to sell on the open market. Because we’ll be buying their home from them they’ll be able to avoid the uncertainty of a chain and will be able to stay there until they’re ready to move.”

A choice of one and two-bedroom apartments are available at Eastbank Court with prices from £192,000.

With regular domestic help included in a monthly service charge and the reassurance of knowing there’s a manager on site at all times, downsizers will be able to retain their independence longer.

In fact a move to Eastbank Court offers an enviable lifestyle as the development boasts hotel-style facilities. These include a restaurant where homeowners can dine out while staying in, a main lounge where people can meet for a coffee, a piano room with licensed bar, a conservatory style lounge, a library, activities room and hair salon and treatment room.

Homeowners can choose to socialise with their neighbours or spend some quiet time in the privacy of their own apartment.

A real sense of community has developed at Eastbank Court with new neighbours striking up firm friendships. Regular social activities include coffee mornings, games afternoons and regular trips to the theatre.

To find out more about part exchange and the benefits of moving to Eastbank Court, join Aspen from 11am to 2pm on Friday, May 3. Alternatively, log on to aspenretirement.co.uk.
