This weekend, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May, house hunters in Newquay are invited to an open weekend at Taylor Wimpey’s Trevenson Meadows development to mark the launch of a brand new two bedroom show apartment.

At the opening of the Daniels Court show apartment, Taylor Wimpey’s new sales team will also be on hand to advise potential purchasers on how the new Help to Buy scheme could benefit them.

Janine Copleston, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, comments: “The opening of our new show apartment is an ideal opportunity to speak to our sales executives, who will be advising interested parties on the schemes we have on offer.

“Help to Buy has already proved incredibly popular and we expect the launch of our show apartment to generate keen interest from local buyers. The scheme allows those with a small deposit to purchase their new home from us with relative financial ease and our show apartment is a great example of an ideal first home.”

The government backed initiative includes an equity loan scheme which is available on new build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the equity loan scheme and it is available to both first time buyers and existing home owners alike. Eligible purchasers will receive a Government loan of 20%, which means that they only need to put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

The scheme is available now at Trevenson Meadows on two bedroom apartments as well as two and three bedroom houses. Prices for the two bedroom apartments start from £144,995, but through Help to Buy this property would be available with just a £7,249.75 deposit, a Government loan of £28,999 and a 75% mortgage of £108,746.25.

Trevenson Meadows benefits from numerous amenities close by including supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Newquay’s famed beaches are also not far and offer a host of activities. The scenic surroundings provide excellent cycle routes and the apartments also have a bicycle store close to the entrance of the communal area. For commuters, Newquay has good road, rail and air links with access to the A30, A38 and M5 as well as the local train station and Newquay and Cornwall Airport.
