This FREE festival of more than 100 live performances of world music, dance and spoken word, fill Damrosch Park in NYC with energy and creativity that the whole family can enjoy. This year's programme includes gamelan players from Indonesia, Balkan Beat Box, Latin American singers like Susana Baca and Juana Molina, and celebrations of music from both Detroit and New Orleans.

30 August – 12 September -US Open Tennis

An iconic event in American sports, the US Open Tennis Championship is the final grand slam tournament of the year, and always fun to watch.
