Ragley to star in ITV’s Country House Sunday

Ragley is once again appearing on our screens, this time in a new ITV1 programme presented by Lynda Bellingham entitled “Country House Sunday”. The series aired on Sunday 21 April and sees Lynda touring around some of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes, exploring the very best that the house and estate have to offer, unpicking their rich history, revealing their secrets and uncovering life both upstairs and downstairs from cooking in the kitchens to tending the grounds.
Ragley appears in 8 out of 21 episodes, first airing on Sunday 28 April and then on Sunday 19 May, Sunday 9 June, Sunday 30 June, Sunday 21 July, Sunday 11 August, Sunday 25 August and Sunday 8 September. As well as visiting Ragley, Lynda also visits Renishaw Hall in Derbyshire, and Ugbrooke House in Devon. Food Reporters Ed Baines, Stacie Stewart and Claire Richards explore some of Britain’s best foods throughout the three regions. Larry Lamb presents a strand of heritage walks, exploring the worlds of Bronte, Shakespeare & Agatha Christie. Antique experts, Tom Keane and Paul Hayes, explore some interesting and quirky treasures within the house and surrounding area. Top Chefs James Tanner and Paul Ainsworth join Lynda throughout the series to cook up Sunday feasts in the beautiful country house working kitchens.
Ragley is no stranger to appearing on primetime TV. The stately home starred in the BBC1 Countryfile Christmas special which was aired last December to over 8 million viewers and in the BBC2 period drama Dancing on the Edge earlier this year.
Emma Maguire, Commercial Manager said: “We were delighted that ITV chose Ragley as one of the stately homes in Country House Sunday. Being one of England’s finest Palladium mansions, Ragley was the perfect venue to feature in this exciting new series!”
