Ultimate Street Car 2013: Buckle up.. it’s going to be the biggest one yet

USC, the annual mecca for lovers of all things fast, loud and politically incorrect, is back for 2013 – and this year’s line-up promises more than ever in a packed weekend of high energy, high octane antics that will leave your head spinning for days afterwards. Book the 2nd to the 4th August in your diary now for the best show of the year.. and probably a couple of days off work afterwards, to be on the safe side.
Let’s begin with the essentials. Expect the newly-resurfaced strip to be a blur of action all day, every day, with almost non-stop RWYB sessions allowing you to flex the muscles of your own ride in the complete safety of the quarter mile. Settle scores the old fashioned way. Second one past the flag gets the beers in, come the evening.
Musically, the three separate zones promise something for everyone, too. USC has become legendary on the show circuit thanks to its insane array of top-line club acts and DJs, and this year, they’ve only gone and blown the bloody doors off! Acts already signed to appear2013 include Storm in the Big Top on Friday along with rave legends Ratpack on the main stage. Ministry of Sound will be bringing Unitrash on Saturday in the Big Top - with Kissy Sell Out headlining. ANiMAL-MUSIC and Ms. Dynamite are on the Main Stage on Saturday, and in Fuelers Bar it's Bass Box with Richie Don headlining. Put simply, the music will be banging for three whole days, so bring your best shapes for the dancefloor my friends.. you’re going to need them all!
The competitive element is strong at USC, and apart from the obvious duel on the quarter mile, there are many other ways to prove – or disprove – who’s ‘Top Dog’ in your club or owner’s group. Choose from the Mobile Dyno, Burnout Contest, Flameout Contest or even Sound-Off Competition. Whether you’re packing power, torque, decibels or just a whole heap of unburned fuel, you’ll find a welcoming crowd and a worthy opponent for your skills!
If your paint and finish are up to it, then there are a couple of ways to show out at USC. Saturday offers the Show Paddock for those that want to park up purely for crowd admiration and respect form your peers, but for those that want all that AND a big fat trophy, then break out the Super Resin for the Autoglym Show and Shine on the Sunday. Here, the judges will be watching, scoring and awarding, so get detailing! If you’ve got ‘show’ and ‘go’, then enter your car in the, er.. ‘Show and Go’ competition. It does exactly what it says on the tin, rewarding cars that look brilliant and go like the clappers!
We’re sure that it’s not really your thing, but there also may be one or two scantily-clad ladies about the place from time-to-time. Well, all weekend, if we’re honest. What, with the Fuel Girls cavorting with fire, The Nuts Girls, Narni Shakers, Promo Girls, Pole Dancers, Lapdance Club and XXX Shows, it can all get a bit hot under the collar at points. Best think of England and head to the bar…
And, of course, it wouldn’t be USC without the staples of Club Camping, the Jet Cars, Stunt Displays, Monsters Trucks, miles of trade stands and the Funfair. The question is, how will you fit it all in in just three days???
Tickets start at just £60 + booking fee for a full weekend ticket. For more details, or to book online, visit santapod.com.
