Ryanair flies the flag for Eurovision

Ryanair hasannounced a surge in bookings to Malmo, as the Swedish city gears up to host the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest this week.
 
Ryanair currently flies between Malmo and seven European destinations and has recorded strong bookings on its flights to/from Barcelona, London and Pisa with Eurovision fans from Spain, the UK and Italy travelling in their thousands, on the lowest fares, to support their countries.
 
To celebrate our Malmo Eurovision Song Contest bookings, Ryanair is releasing 100,000 seats across its entire European network at prices starting from just €15.99 for travel on Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur in June and these “all in” low fares will be available on over 1,000 of Ryanair’s European routes, but must be booked on ryanair.com before midnight (24:00hrs) Thur, 16 May.
 
Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said: “Ryanair is bringing thousands of passengers from Italy, Spain and the UK to and from Malmo to cheer on their countries in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest – and on the lowest fares. Carrying over 80m passengers this year, Ryanair knows all about being number one in Europe, with the most on-time flights, fewest mishandled bags and fewest customer cancellations.
 
To celebrate the start of Eurovision and our Malmo bookings, Ryanair is launching a 100,000 seat sale on over 1,000 European routes at prices starting from just €15.99, for travel in June. These seats are only available until midnight (24:00hrs) Thursday (16 May) and are sure to be snapped up fast, so we urge passengers to book them on ryanair.com before they sell out.”
