Nordic walking breaks at the charming Quinta das Barradas

The charming Quinta das Barrades plays host to a unique series of weekend breaks catering to the popular health and fitness activity of Nordic Walking. This beautiful country house is the base for a weekend of Nordic Walking covering a variety of scenic terrains in this unspoilt region from just €510 per person inclusive.*

These long weekend breaks are available for selected dates throughout 2013 and 2014 and include three nights’ accommodation, three scenic 2-3 hour guided walks covering the local Algarvian areas of: countryside, coastal and cultural, transport to and from locations, breakfast and lunches and the experience of a five course gourmet dinner at the beautiful Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda as well as a traditional Churrasco barbeque at the Quinta das Barradas itself. Walking poles are provided should they be required as are airport transfers.

Many additional treats are on offer at a supplement in the afternoons should walkers want to indulge in some much needed R & R! This includes a spa afternoon at the nearby luxury Cascade Wellness and Lifestyle Resort, Dolphin watching, extra walks and historical tours of Lagos to name just a few!

These breaks are available to private, individual walkers with a fully qualified UK instructor provided or to qualified UK Nordic Walking instructors wishing to take their own groups offering the opportunity of commission and hotel concessions to the instructor.

The climate in the Algarve is mild and generally sunny with an average of 3000 sunshine hours per year, sunnier than California! With frequent flights from most UK airports, this is the perfect opportunity to experience a weekend of exercise and fun, whilst enjoying the scenery, meeting new friends and indulging in a few of the luxuries in life.

The Quinta das Barradas is located a just a few kilometres from the historical town of Lagos on the outskirts of Odiaxere a traditional Algarvian village. With its rustic rooms and restaurant, it is a charming working family farm country house bordered by mountains, rivers, rich flora and fauna and a natural botanic pool.
