Taylor Wimpey will soon be providing a superb new opportunity for aspiring Worcestershire home-buyers to secure their perfect property in Redditch.

The leading housebuilder has received planning approval from Redditch Borough Council to build 160 high-quality homes on a site formerly occupied by Dingleside School, including 64 much-needed affordable properties for rent and discounted market tenures.

Lucet Meadow will comprise mainly two, three and four-bedroom houses plus a small number of one and two-bedroom apartments, occupying a peaceful location fringed by mature trees and hedgerow and benefiting from far-reaching views over open countryside thanks to its elevated position.

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’re delighted that our exciting development proposals to create much-needed new homes in Redditch have received planning permission, and we look forward to beginning work on the site in the near future.

“We are hoping to release the first new homes for sale in November, and in the meantime aspiring home-buyers can register their interest if they want to be kept informed of the latest developments.”

Lucet Meadow will benefit from a tranquil setting with the site’s existing mature trees and hedgerows to be complemented by new planting and areas of green open space.

Meanwhile, there’s a host of amenities for everyday needs on the doorstep, with a range of local facilities just a short walk away, including a medical centre, a post office, a library and restaurants.

Families will appreciate that nearby Woodrow First School and Nursery was rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted in its latest inspection, while there’s a choice of schools for children of all ages within easy reach. Kingsley Sports Centre boasts a swimming pool, sports hall and squash courts and is within walking distance.

Local bus services provide quick access to the excellent range of shops and leisure opportunities in Redditch town centre and the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, just over two miles away, while Redditch railway station provides direct services to Birmingham New Street in just over half an hour.
