New kids on the block
Scottsdale has always been a hub for innovation and creativity when it comes to desert golf. This autumn, the destination will elevate its status as a golf mecca with the debut of the Camelback Golf Club’s new Ambiante Course (previously known as the Indian Bend Course). Redesigned by Hurdzan Fry Environmental Golf Design, Ambiante features a complete revamp of 12 golf holes and a variety of enhancements on the remaining six that will improve playability and shot values. Other changes include new bunkers, reconfigured water features and new cart paths.

Hot on the heels of the debut of its new clubhouse, McDowell Mountain Golf Club unveiled Mesquite Grille in the first quarter of the year. This restaurant and wine bistro is designed as a casual, upscale gathering place for golf guests during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its robust menu of American southwest and Chicago Italian favourites was developed by executive chef Mark Hamilton and features items such as homemade sausage, pasta tossed with fresh vegetables and fresh seafood. Adding to its allure, the restaurant’s beautiful outdoor terrace provides sweeping views of the Scottsdale skyline.
