Hundreds of Vintage, Veteran and Classic cars over 20 years old will reunite at the nostalgic annual Autumn Classic, which returns to the Heritage Motor Centre on Sunday 22 September. This year’s centrepiece display will be ‘Traveller at 60’ which will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Morris Minor Traveller models entering production. The display will take place on the Southern and Northern lawns in front of the Museum plus there will be road runs for Morris Minor Travellers. The Autumn Classic Fringe will display possible Classics of the future; this year there will be a large turnout of Chrysler Crossfires and Nissan Elgrands. Entry into the grounds is free and those arriving in a qualifying vehicle can visit the Museum on the day for just £5 per person, the original entry price when the HMC opened in 1993!

Drivers and passengers can also join in with the Autumn Cream Tea Run for a scenic drive, approximately 63 miles long following the Stour Tour and taking in some stunning North Cotswold scenery including the village of Chipping Campden. The Run culminates in a delicious cream tea at the HMC ‘Junction 12? Café. The cost is £22 per car (driver & passenger) which includes the Rally Plaque for the car, entry to the Museum and a cream tea for two people. Additional passengers cost £11 per person. The Run starts at 10:15am with the cream tea being served from 3pm - 4:30pm.

For any Traveller owners wishing to be part of the special Centrepiece 'Traveller at 60' display organised by the MMOC, pre booking is essential. Application forms are available to download from the MMOC website or on request from the Derby Office (telephone 01332 291675). An entry fee for the Traveller Display is being levied. For £5 entrants will receive a ‘Traveller at 60’ windscreen sticker and a Monte Carlo Rally style commemorative Rally Plaque to affix to the front of their car.

Individuals and Clubs are all welcome and can just turn up on the day.
