No single supplements on Yoga & Foodie break to the coast of Morocco
Healthy holiday specialist Satvada Retreats is offering single travellers wishing to join its 5-night Yoga and Foodie break to Morocco's Atlantic coast, the chance to share a room with someone of the same sex to avoid having to pay a supplement.
The holiday is from 22-27 September 2013 and costs from £645 pp. It is limited to eleven guests, for a friendly, small-group feel with plenty of individual attention.
Comments Lucia Cockcroft, one of the co-founders of Satvada, who has been practising yoga for 15 years and teaching for five, and who will be leading the group: “Yoga is primarily practiced by women and we didn’t want to alienate ladies (or gentlemen) who wished to travel on their own, from joining our group.
“By offering them the chance to share a room with someone of the same sex, they can avoid paying a hefty single room supplement.”
The holiday – which is suitable for people of all levels of experience including complete beginners – will include the perfect combination of relaxation, yoga and sightseeing, with classes led by Lucia Cockcroft,
Accommodation is at a complex of modern, boutique riads with facilities including swimming pools, a private hammam and a tennis court, and which is located in a fishing village 25 minutes south of Essaouira.
The riads have beautifully-maintained, pretty tropical gardens, and overlook the ocean and one of the widest beaches on the entire Atlantic coast of Morocco (a 100m walk away).
Each day there will be two 90-minute hatha yoga classes on the roof terrace, one each morning before breakfast (dynamic hatha flow) and the second before dinner (a quiet mix of Restorative/gentle yoga and mindfulness meditation - mats provided).
The holiday also includes a trip to the souks in Essaouira, with the group accompanying the venue’s chef to source and buy ingredients before returning to the venue for a cookery demonstration (and then eating the results for lunch!).
Other optional activities available at a supplement include wind/board/kite surfing (with instruction if required), horse riding, and camel safaris.
The holiday costs from £645 pp (two sharing in a standard room) which includes daily generous brunch, four gourmet evening meals and the cookery demonstration. Flights not included but both Ryanair and Easyjet service Marrakech.
Room upgrades, single room occupancy and additional nights available at a supplement.
