House-hunters looking for a stunning new home at an affordable price are being urged to come along to a special event being hosted by Taylor Wimpey in the brand new village of Wixams.

Prospective buyers can find out more about the range of two, three and four-bedroom homes available under the Government’s new Help to Buy incentive at the leading housebuilder’s Heritage Park development on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September.

Between 10am and 5pm on both days, visitors can speak to Taylor Wimpey’s friendly sales team about the scheme – and people are being urged to book their places now.

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “People may be surprised to learn that with the Help to Buy incentive, purchasing a property can in fact work out much more affordable than paying costly rents.

“Anyone who dreams of getting on – or moving up – the property ladder, should book an appointment at our special event to find out how Help to Buy could enable them to buy their ideal home at Heritage Park.”

Under the shared equity scheme, eligible purchasers can secure their new-build home at the popular development for 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5%, while Taylor Wimpey’s experienced sales team will also be on hand to offer helpful advice.

Customers receive a 20% Government loan to help with the purchase of their new home, and there is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme. It is available to both first-time buyers and those with a property to sell.

There is a wide choice of properties available to buy at Heritage Park, including two-bedroom apartments priced from just £140,000, three-bedroom houses from as little as £215,000 and four-bedroom houses from just £245,000.

Heritage Park is part of Lakeview, the first of four villages which will make up the self-contained, sustainable town of Wixams, three miles south-west of Bedford.

Designs for the new community draw on the best traditions of Bedfordshire’s market towns and homes will benefit from new shops, community and leisure facilities, schools and employment areas, in addition to 300 acres of sports pitches, parklands and green open space.

A new transport network puts bus stops within comfortable walking distance of the homes, a new railway station will provide quick links to London and nearby towns and cities, and an extensive network of cycleways and paths will make getting around a breeze.

Beyond the town boundaries, the re-aligned A6 and the A421 Bedford southern bypass put the region’s major commuter routes, including the M1 and A1, within easy reach, while those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is just 15 miles away.

House-hunters can find out more about securing their new home with Help to Buy at Wixams by coming along to the Heritage Park Sales Centre between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September. The development is located at 1 Brooklands Avenue, Wixams, Bedfordshire, MK42 6AX.
