Eibach launches Fiesta ST180 chassis upgrades

Respected global suspension manufacturer Eibach has released a new range of chassis upgrades for Ford’s latest offering from its string of hot-hatch hits; the Fiesta ST180. In addition to a pair of anti-roll bars, Eibach is releasing a set of lower ‘Pro-Kit’ springs and wheel spacers to improve on the car’s already impressive handling credentials.

The new Pro-kit offers tangible lowering over the existing factory set-up. Even on the already lower ST, these springs will create a 15mm front and rear drop from the factory ride-height. Thanks to a lower centre of gravity, not only are the car’s looks significantly enhanced, but turn-in and driver feedback are greatly enhanced.

Sublime handling is all very well, but not if it’s at the expense of ride comfort. Here, Eibach’s extensive experience in OEM accessory programmes has resulted in an almost factory-quality ride that perfectly matches the original dampers. This is achieved by Eibach’s progressive spring winding that effectively produce two spring characteristics in the one spring; soft for straight-line ambling and precise for spirited cornering. The icing on the cake comes in the form of the industry-leading 5 year, unlimited mileage warranty.

The Anti-Roll kit offers trick hollow front and solid rear, non-adjustable bars that are optimized at 25/21mm front and rear respectively. Perfectly placed to reduce load transfer in the turns, and therefore improve handling and increase the tyre’s contact patch, these are an essential upgrade for the ST.

Looking to achieve handling and stance perfection? The simple addition of a set of precision-machined, hub-centric spacers, ranging from 15-30mm per side should do the trick. Machined from aerospace grade aluminium, they can be used either to improve track to enhance handling, or indeed, place the wheels perfectly in the arch for perfect stance.
