Bloor Homes is offering homebuyers a range of new incentives at its Shefford Leys development in the 13th century market town of Shefford, Bedfordshire. Homeowners can either take advantage of the Help to Buy scheme with stamp duty paid, or use the Part Exchange scheme to move into a larger family home.

Shefford Leys is a select development of just 95 new homes located in the ancient town of Shefford in the midst of the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. Currently available are four different styles of four bedroom detached family homes ranging in price from £325,000 to £403,000.

All of the properties offer generous family accommodation and are finished to the high quality specification for which Bloor Homes are renowned. A typical example is the Shenstone which features a large kitchen/dining room and separate spacious lounge with French doors opening onto the rear garden. The ground floor also has a study, cloakroom and utility area, as well as ample storage facilities.

On the first floor, bedrooms one and two benefit from en-suite shower rooms, with the master bedroom also benefitting from fitted wardrobes. There are two more bedrooms, a family bathroom and a storage cupboard on the landing.

Vanessa Macnee, Sales Director of Bloor Homes comments: “We aim to make the process of buying a new home as stress-free as possible for purchasers. The offers available at Shefford Leys include Bloor’s 100% Part Exchange scheme, which enables buyers to complete their purchase in just a few weeks”.

“We also offer the Government backed Help to Buy scheme on these properties which means that buyers can take advantage of an equity loan of up to 20%, which is reduces the amount they need to find by way of deposit and mortgage and which can be repaid at any time or upon the sale of your home. To make the move here even easier, we are also offering stamp duty paid on our properties in conjunction with the Help to Buy scheme.”

Set in the midst of the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, Shefford has many picturesque Georgian terraces and a variety of historic buildings, including the remains of a 14th century chapel which is the oldest remaining structure in the town.

Despite its country location, Shefford is conveniently placed for commuters who need fast links into London during the week, with regular services from nearby Biggleswade to London King’s Cross taking around 45 minutes. Located midway between the A1 and the M1 the town is also within easy reach of Hitchin and Bedford.

For the active weekender, the Beadlow Manor Golf course boasts two 18 hole courses set in 300 acres of tree lined parklands. Nearby Bellote Meadow and Chicksands Wood are the ideal locations for long country walks on a Sunday afternoon.

The retailers in Shefford range from independently owned shops to well-known high street names. There are many gastro pubs, restaurants and takeaway facilities here with The Banks & Taylor Micro-brewery offering fine ales which are served in one of its own pubs in the town.

In addition to the Shenstone which is priced from £375,000, other four bedroom homes currently available at Shefford Leys include: the Eastcote from £395,000; the Hamilton from £325,000 and the Rearsby which starts at £380,000.
