Custom Calibrated D.U.I. Distributors now available from USAutomotive

Original equipment and aftermarket manufacturers make distributors on a mass production basis, so at best, a vehicle has a middle-ground, compromise ignition advance curve. Performance Distributors take all of an engine's specifications into consideration in order to provide the optimum advance curve. A super smooth curve will eliminate engine damaging detonation and give the most efficient combustion possible. Light throttle ping is eliminated by the use of special vacuum advances, factory calibrated and thus an adjustable vacuum advance is not needed.
The Street/Strip range of D.U.I Distributors are custom-calibrated to a particular engine application. They are superior to the more common points type units because they are virtually maintenance free, can handle more voltage and last much longer. They are also better and more practical than magnetos. D.U.I. distributors send twice as much fire into the combustion chambers than a magneto, because they allow twice as big a plug gap to be run. Additionally, spark plugs stay cleaner for longer. The D.U.I. unit is more compact than a conventional distributor system because it has its coil built into the cap and can thus be fitted into custom applications where space may be at a premium.
Distributor caps are offered in blue, red, yellow, clear or black and have solid brass terminals and contain the D.U.I. coil. The Dyna-Module, which has more electronic dwell in it over a stock ignition module, is also fitted.
Prices start out at £229 plus VAT for a small/big-block Chevy unit and of course, because this unit comes fitted with its integral coil, there’s no need for further outlay.
