Countryside Properties has reported a record boost in home sales at its impressive New Broughton Village in Salford, with the off-plan reservation of 26 homes since the launch of the development’s latest phase six months ago.

Having launched the much-anticipated phase of 181 three and four-bedroom homes in September last year, the developer has sold on average a home a week, each of which has been available through the flagship 5% Help to Buy scheme.

The announcement comes in the wake of a report published by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), showing an increase in house sales in the north west, urging house builders to continue to address the demand.

Peter Vella, Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Countryside Properties, commented: “The popularity of New Broughton Village has continued to grow since it launched in 2006, in spite of the challenges that the property market has faced. With the addition of Help to Buy across the development we have seen a significant boost in buyer interest, which has resulted in the unprecedented off-plan reservation of 26 homes in our latest phase.”

“This recent surge in sales is testament to the balance of quality and affordability set within the thriving New Broughton neighbourhood and we anticipate that this flagship development will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Each of the spacious family homes is available through the government’s Help to Buy initiative, which enables buyers to own 100% of their home whilst receiving an equity loan of up to 20%, needed to contribute a deposit of only 5%.

For a three-bedroom home at New Broughton Village priced at full market value of £145,000, buyers need only save a deposit of £7,250 and secure a mortgage for £116,000.

Making buyers’ budgets stretch even further, Countryside Properties is also offering each new home at New Broughton Village complete with its enhanced specification package, Love Our Spec. Each home comes with flooring throughout, fitted wardrobes to the master bathroom and a white bathroom suite with heated towel rails and Porcelanosa tiles. Each kitchen also comes complete with integrated appliances, including fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher, and a double oven and five-ring gas hob.

Forming part of Salford City Council’s successful £500m regeneration of Lower Broughton, New Broughton Village is a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and three and four-bedroom homes. The development launched in 2006 and has since grown to become a flourishing community with a range of local amenities, including a new school, a landscaped park and a variety of shop.

The development’s sales office is open from 11am until 6pm every day and is located at Broughton Lane, Salford, M7 1UE.
