Vic and Bob’s anarchic comedy House of Fools will be returning to BBC Two for a second series, Controller of Comedy Commissioning Shane Allen has confirmed at the Salford Comedy Festival 2014.

Set in Bob’s home, the second series of House Of Fools will once more feature uninvited lodgers, visitors and guests who constantly fill the house, wreaking havoc everywhere they go.

Vic and Bob will again be joined by lady-obsessed lothario Beef (Matt Berry), Geordie ex-con Bosh (Dan Skinner) and Bob's sulky son Erik (Daniel Simonsen) while man-eater Julie (Morgana Robinson) will still be lurking next door.

Vic and Bob say: “We are overjoyed and thankful to our great corporation for their diligence in this matter."

Shane Allen, Controller of Comedy Commissioning, says: “House Of Fools is a much-needed big old rainbow of daftness in a world that is too grey and sensible. Those two lovable twits work very hard at making something that looks so effortlessly silly and it’s a thrill to know there’s plenty more where that came from.”

Mark Freeland, Controller of Fiction and Entertainment, says: “Vic and Bob are one-offs. Thank the gods of Comedy and BBC Two that House Of Fools isn't.”

House Of Fools series two is a BBC In-house Comedy production in association with Pett Productions which will be filmed at MediaCityUK in Salford. The series will be produced by Lisa Clark (Pett) and executive produced by Pete Thornton.
