Origo Mare

Pierre & Vacances is to open its first Club Village in the Canary Islands in June this year. Located in the popular destination of Fuerteventura, Origo Mare will enjoy an incredible 10 months of sunshine throughout the year. Fuerteventura also boasts more than 150km of pristine beaches and no fewer than 12 magnificent natural parks.

Spread over 120 hectares, Origo Mare is the largest bespoke resort in the Canaries. The luxury accommodation will be clustered around several swimming pools giving a more informal feel with a choice of bars and restaurants. The local region offers more than 40 sports and activities for guests to choose from. An extra special feature is the 1000m2 crater acquatic park.

Destination

Fuerteventura is one of the most popular destinations in the Canaries, located 100km off the coast of Morocco, and is the second largest island. Amid its varied and breathtaking landscape, are endless golden beaches, secluded and romantic coves and traditional fishing villages. Origo Mare itself is located in Majanicho, between the villages of Corralejo and El Cotillo, close to the spectacular nature park Las Dunas de Corralejo. Despite its exotic location and ambience, there are regular direct flights from the UK, making it easy to get here.

Luxury living

The accommodation area is set around a series of different oases. Each Oasis has its own swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols. The luxury houses and villas can accommodate between four and seven people in style and comfort: all have a terrace and a private garden, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, TV with national and international channels, direct dial telephone and personal safe. Opt for one of the houses in the VIP Oasis and guests can also enjoy a privileged and peaceful environment with exceptional views of the sea, as well as a luxurious finish with the super comfy furniture and décor.

Taste of the best

Nature Origo Mare offers a choice of two restaurants and three bars also featuring snacks. The à la carte restaurant offers terrace dining, while the buffet restaurant has its own ‘cooking show’. The Sports Bar offers informal dining – and giant screens – while the lobby bar near the reception also gives access to the central pool and sun deck with a lovely relaxing atmosphere, and finally the Crater Pars features the ‘Chiringito Bar’. On site there is a supermarket and bakery, laundry, hairdresser, beauty salon and doctor’s surgery. Bicycle rental is available to take advantage of the extensive cycle path network.

Action Plan

Nature lovers flock here to enjoy the abundant wildlife of this UNESCO World Heritage Biosphere. There are many protected areas and parks to discover, including Isla de Lobos, Jandia and Corralejo National Parks. This is also a paradise for watersports lovers, with surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, sport fishing, scuba diving, and cruises all available. On land, meanwhile, visitors can try their hand at horse riding, mountain biking or 4x4 safaris. Fuerteventura has four golf courses, two theme parks and museums, while there are regular sailing and wildlife excursions.

You don’t have to go far to find fun, however. As well as its many swimming pools, Origo Mare has 18-hole minigolf for all ages, a sports field, paddle court, tennis court and petanque court. There’s a fully equipped gym for keep-fit lovers and a beauty salon in the VIP area with massages and body treatments for those who love to be pampered on holiday. There is also a fantastic range of children’s clubs catering for three years to 18 year olds, meaning parents can rest assured of a stress-free holiday and these are free to all guests.

The Crater Park

This innovative, large-scale water park is unique to the island. It fits perfectly into its surroundings with a volcanic theme inspired by a local artist. Its attractions include a wave pool, eight-metre high ‘water tree’, children's pool, multi-activities pool and big slide, giving the whole family fun all year round.
