Tyddyn Llan is a genuine bolt hole!

For those who like nothing more than a glass of Champagne to keep the blues at bay, Michelin starred Tyddyn Llan ‘Restaurant with Rooms’ near Corwen in North Wales is staging the perfect evening: a gastronomic Charles Heidsieck Champagne dinner hosted by Bruce Kendrick of Liberty Wines.

The menu will feature the very best Welsh cuisine, matched with a selection of some of the world’s greatest Champagnes – a different one with each course.

Head chef and co-owner Bryan Webb (with wife Susan) will be busy in the kitchen concocting each course, whilst Bruce provides a tutored tasting in the restaurant for the four very different glasses of fizz.

The menu will comprise:

Canapés

Lady Llanover’s Salted Duck with Pickled Cherries – accompanied by Champagne Charles Heidsieck, Brut Réserve N.V

Escalope of Wild Sewin with Sorrel Sauce – accompanied by Champagne Charles Heidsieck, Rosé Réserve N.V

Saddle of New Season’s Spring Lamb with Parsley and Pine Nut Stuffing – accompanied by Champagne Charles
Heidsieck, Blanc des Millénaires 1995

White Peaches Poached in Champagne with Vanilla Ice Cream – accompanied by Champagne Charles Heidsieck, Rosé Millésimé 1999

The cost of the dinner is £85 per person to include all the Champagnes and there is a special overnight room rate, exclusively for Champagne dinner guests from £65 - £80 per person (two sharing a room).

The price also includes breakfast, cooked to order by Bryan himself!

Tyddyn Llan is on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and in the shadow of the Berwyn Mountains and there is excellent walking direct from the hotel (there are maps/notes available in reception).

Well behaved dogs are also welcome in certain rooms from £10 per night.
