The average price for a property in Slough is currently valued at £294,703, that’s up nearly £12,892 from last year alone. The figure is also 16 per cent higher than in 2007, according to property portal Zoopla. With prices starting from just £250,000 for a new two bedroom home with a great specification, buyers should take a look at the show homes at the successful Kestrel Place development in Slough by Countryside.

Andrew Loveday, Sales and Marketing Director of Countryside comments: “Prior to the show home opening, we had already sold 30% of the first phase off-plan. Since then the development has been a real success and all the homes in the first phase have now been reserved. We will be releasing more homes for sale towards the end of summer, so potential purchasers looking to purchase a home at Kestrel Place should register their interest and take a tour of the show homes as soon as possible to find out exactly what you get for your money in Slough.”

The homes at Kestrel Place have been sensitively designed to make the most of views and natural light. Houses come in a choice of two different three bedroom layouts named the Goshawk and the Lanner and two types of two bedroom layouts named the Harrier and the Merlin. Each features a superb quality specification with neutral contemporary décor and spacious open plan living spaces. Contemporary fitted kitchens include handle-less driftwood effect units and a full range of integrated appliances. Roof lights to some of the living spaces allow natural light to flood in. Bathrooms and en suites feature a light, natural palette contrasted with stylish chrome accessories and flooring is included throughout.

Outside there is a dedicated parking space for each house, landscaped front garden and fully turfed enclosed rear garden with feature patio providing a peaceful space to relax. There are photovoltaic panels on the roof that provide green energy, meaning lower utility bills for residents. Buyers can also be confident that Countryside is committed to the highest levels of customer service, as well as the assurance of the NHBC guarantee for every home.

What’s more, the properties are available with the Help to Buy scheme. The scheme is available to all, not just first time buyers, and means that buyers only need a 5% deposit to buy a new home. The Government will provide an equity loan of up to 20% of the purchase price, interest free for the first 5 years, all of which helps to make monthly mortgage repayments more affordable.

The nearby village of Burnham is filled with period properties, family pubs and restaurants and a parish church dating back to the 12th century. The area also boasts 540 acres of protected ancient woodland, perfect for relaxing walks, or a place to jog to keep fit.

Slough itself is a busy and growing town offering a wide range of shopping, restaurants and leisure attractions, as well as a range of good schools nearby such as Burnham Grammar School, with an Ofsted rating of ‘good’, and Lynch Hill Primary School rated as ‘outstanding’.

Travel from Kestrel Place is convenient, with regular bus services running close by and Slough train station just three miles away from where the train journey to London Paddington is as little as 15 minutes. Burnham Station, even closer to Kestrel Place, is on the stopping service to London and Reading. Rail connections are set to further improve with the inclusion of Slough on the Crossrail route, which is due to open in 2018 and will provide direct services to stations through Central and East London. For car travel, the M4 and M25 are easily accessible, while Heathrow Airport is just eight miles away.

Prices start from £250,000 for a two-bedroom house and from £265,000 for a three-bedroom house. For more information about the next release of homes, visit the Kestrel Place website
